The athletes sponsored via the Performance Pact have done outstandingly well in recent weeks.
New titles – as champions of France or world champions… – have been added to an already impressive list of achievements for many of them.
Congratulations to the French champions Maxime Beaumont in canoeing (1) (Banque Populaire du Nord), Wilhem Belocian (2) (Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC), Frédéric Dagée (3) (Caisse d’Epargne Côte d’Azur), Jimmy Gressier (4) (Caisse d’Epargne Haut de France) and Jules Ribstein in athletics (5) (Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe), as well as world champions Loana Lecomte in mountain biking (6) (Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes), and Léonie Périault in triathlon (7) (Banque Populaire Val de France).
Groupe BPCE companies are currently supporting 102 high-level athletes from all regions of France. This includes some sixty athletes benefitting from the national support and assistance program launched on November 25, 2019 by the Banques Populaires, Caisses d’Epargne, Natixis, Banque Palatine, Crédit Coopératif and Casden, Premium Partners of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The aim is to achieve a twofold objective: to enable athletes, through sponsorship, training and retraining initiatives, to contemplate with confidence their dual sports and professional careers and thereby to offer them the best chances of putting up a strong performance at the next sporting events in Tokyo in 2021 and, of course, at the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.
This program also reinforces the commitment that Groupe BPCE companies have been making to sports for a great many years.
