The Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes and the Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire working with BPCE Energéco and Hélia Conseil, are financing Le Champvoisin, a new wind farm in Nouvelle Aquitaine for a total of almost €24 million.
This is yet another example of the Group pooling its expertise to finance renewable energy projects: in this case, a 12 MW wind farm, Le Champvoisin, located in the Deux-Sèvres département, developed by the electricity producer RP Global. It is currently one of the last projects to benefit from a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) from the French government. Production will begin in August 2021.
The Caisse d’Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes and the Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire are providing loans for a total of €23.98 million. BPCE Energéco, a Groupe BPCE subsidiary, and Hélia Conseil, a financial engineering entity owned by the two regional savings banks, are acting as arrangers. With this green financing initiative, Groupe BPCE is supporting the development of the regional economy and playing its role to the full as a responsible banker working to promote the energy transition.
