An original event to recruit talented people with disabilities in a different way: 16 BPCE companies in the Paris region accepted the challenge.
On Thursday, September 24, at the Jean Bouin Stadium in Paris, 15 teams made up of 220 employees and recruiters from Groupe BPCE and more than 30 disabled candidates met for a series of sporting challenges, awareness-building workshops, and blind recruitment sessions.
This event provided candidates with a unique opportunity to express their talents in a different way, to discover the wide variety of Groupe BPCE’s business activities, and to interact with Group employees in a relaxed atmosphere both on the field and during the breaks in play.
A large number of para-athletes supported by Groupe BPCE – such as Charlotte Fairbank (wheelchair tennis), Manon Genest (para-athletics) and Alexandre Dipoko-Ewane (para-athletics) – took part in the events and encouraged the teams. Théo Curin, a paralympic swimmer, two-times silver medalist in the World championships, and patron of this 1st edition of In’2job, even interrupted his training – with a view to going to Tokyo in 2021 – to attend: “In’2Job is a concept that means a great deal to me! Sport brings people together and I find that this event conveys a particularly powerful message.”
For Groupe BPCE, which aims to recruit 500 disabled people over a three-year period, this event offers an opportunity to deconstruct prejudices thanks to the values of sport and to contribute to the employment of people with disabilities.
