This year once again, the Caisse d’Epargne has dreamed up a large-scale operation to mark the Pink October breast cancer awareness month.
Actively supporting the Ruban Rose (Pink Ribbon) association for the past six years, the Caisse d’Epargne is stepping up its fight against breast cancer, a disease affecting one in eight women in France and a condition that can also affect men. In the Caisses d’Epargne at a regional level, in the bank’s local branches, in the media and on social networks, the #generose operation sets out to raise the general public’s awareness about breast cancer and to collect donations for research. Two new initiatives in 2020 will add a sporting dimension to the program:
– The organization of an online #Generose challenge open to all via the Kiplin app. Participants can download the application free of charge (registration until October 9 using the code GENEROSE20) and then, working alone or in teams, they will be required to take an average of 8,000 steps every day to unlock the donation counter.
– The involvement of the Caisse d’Epargne’s two partners: the French Handball and Basketball Federations. The members of the French women’s handball team wore jerseys bearing the Caisse d’Epargne logo symbolically dressed in pink to mark the occasion during the Golden League matches held in Denmark from October 1 to 4. The women basketball and handball players also released videos in support of the operation on social networks.
A large number of initiatives will also be organized throughout France by the regional savings banks.
