Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC is strengthening its commitment to renewable energy by supporting Neoen in financing €67.1 million for the construction of three solar power plants in France. This collaboration highlights the shared ambition of both entities to fully contribute to the energy transition.
As part of Groupe BPCE, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has recently arranged a €67.1 million senior debt financing for Neoen, France’s leading independent producer of 100% renewable energy. This financing supports the construction of two ground-mounted solar power plants and one solar canopies plant, totaling a combined installed capacity of 70.5 MWp. These projects will cover the energy consumption of nearly 36,000 residents, thus reinforcing the commitment of both entities to decarbonized energy.
Jérémy Estrader, Deputy General Manager of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: “Since our first financing for Neoen in 2012, Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC has become the leading financier of renewable energy in its territories and the second-largest private financier in France, while Neoen has become the first independent producer of renewable energy in the country.” This underscores the prominent role of Groupe BPCE banks in the development of renewable energy in France.
This initiative aligns with the strategic plan VISION 2030, which aims to promote renewable and low-carbon energy. With projects like that of Caisse d’Epargne CEPAC, the group affirms its commitment to building a sustainable future while fostering responsible growth and the resilience of local communities.
