Seydou Diallo, a baker living in Metz, can be seen on the M6 TV channel.
As a local player committed to its region, the Caisse Grand Est Europe mobilizes its efforts every day in support of the projects pursued by its professional customers. One example is Seydou Diallo, a baker living in Metz and candidate for the program broadcast by the M6 TV station: La Meilleure boulangerie de France (“The Best Bakery in France”).
Seydou Diallo, a native of Senegal, arrived in France in 2009 to study at the Cormontaigne Institute of Technology in Thionville (IUT Cormontaigne de Thionville), and, subsequently, at the University of Metz in northeastern France. He initially dreamed of studying chemistry and biology before focusing on industrial engineering and maintenance, then physics and chemistry… before ultimately choosing bakery! Obliged to provide for his family in Senegal, he juggled odd jobs with his academic work and bought a bakery in the country of his childhood. This was his first step in the profession. But very quickly, he returned to Metz to train as a baker and to learn milling techniques at the National School of Milling and Cereal Industries in Surgères in southwestern France. He opened his first bakery near the train station in Metz in October 2019 under the name of Boulangerie Poulard.
Building on the success of his business (awarded the prize for the best baguette and best croissant in the Moselle département in 2019) and supported in the pursuit of his professional projects by the teams of the Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe, Seydou Diallo will shortly be opening a second bakery in the center of Metz.
Don’t hesitate to discover this baker’s atypical career path along with the mobilization and pride of the Caisse d’Epargne Grand Est Europe teams who believed in his project and are now supporting the growth of his business activities.
