Covered bond issues: four awards for Groupe BPCE

Issuer of the Year, Best Eurozone Issuer, Best ESG Deal, and Best Funding Official (Cédric Perrier): Groupe BPCE won four awards organized by the benchmark magazine GlobalCapital at the European Covered Bonds Council (ECBC)* conference.

The entire covered bond market community gathered in Porto on September 11 and 12 for this annual conference. GlobalCapital shortlisted 5 nominees for each category before giving all market participants a month to cast their votes; more than 360 market players did so, including 90 issuers and over 100 investors.

Groupe BPCE received most accolades in the ‘Issuer of the Year’ category ahead of the other nominees: CAFFIL, Crédit Agricole, Nationwide, and Toronto Dominion. In the ‘Best Eurozone Issuer’ category, Groupe BPCE outpolled CAFFIL, CRH, LBBW, and Rabobank. Finally, our 10-year, €1.5 billion Green issue launched in May 2024 came out ahead of German, Canadian and Korean deals.

These four new awards bear witness to Groupe BPCE’s expertise in covered bonds, and more specifically in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) formats, that has won broad-based recognition in the industry.
