Creation of a Mainframe School by BPCE-IT

Our mainframe computer, a machine providing immense processing power, is used to process data and deliver transactional services provided by BPCE-IT, an entity grouping together the managed IT services & technologies activities of Groupe BPCE’s IT operators.

Located at the heart of the networks, the mainframe plays a role of major importance for the Group: it is involved in the majority of banking operations and processes covered by its information systems.  
Recruitment difficulties are considerable in this area because schools of engineering and training centers specializing in computer science have abandoned this sector in recent years in favor of new technologies. 
In order to ensure business continuity and the future of this technology, BPCE-IT has set up a Mainframe School in partnership with the training organization zEriodes. 
Launched in October 2019, the first intake of students has led to the training of eight Production Engineers and System Engineers, all of whom were hired at the end of their course. 

The company’s objective: to fill some sixty positions by 2025 and around twenty by 2020.
