As the César and Oscar ceremonies draw to a close, it is an opportunity to put the spotlight on Coficiné, a subsidiary of Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking and a financier of several award-winning films.
Out of eight films competing at the César financed by Coficiné, three were awarded, winning a total of ten prizes, including “Best Film” and “Best Director” for Emilia Perez by Jacques Audiard. The film won seven César, adding to the Oscar for “Best Supporting Actress” for Zoe Saldaña and the Oscar for “Best Original Song” for El Mal, as well as five Lumières Awards, four Golden Globes, two BAFTAs, and two awards at Cannes obtained a few months earlier.
The Count of Monte Cristo, in addition to its remarkable success in theaters with 9.4 million admissions in France to date and 3.5 million internationally, also won two César for “Best Costumes” and “Best Set Design”.
Hafsia Herzi received the “Best Actress” César for Borgo, a sensitive subject about the prison environment directed by Stéphane Demoustier. Congratulations also to Walter Salles for his film I’m Still Here (Ainda Estou Aqui), which received the Oscar for “Best International Film”.
No. 1 in cinema and television credit and advisory services in France and Europe, Coficine finances 150 films and more than 100 TV shows per year in almost every country in Europe, making it the French and European leader in its sector.
