Professional diversity: Groupe BPCE steps up its commitment
We’d like to seize the opportunity of the Gender Equality Week to review the actions taken by the Group in this area and its goals for 2024.
For the past several years, the Group has been taking a number of defining measures to promote gender diversity, such as the inclusion of gender diversity principles in all HR processes, parity in management training pathways, and support for women in managing their careers.
The signing one year ago of the Gender Equality Charter, which is gradually being rolled out to all Group companies, marks a new stage in the raft of measures taken to promote equality between men and women. The signing in 2021 of new industry-wide agreements on professional equality in the Banque Populaire and Caisse d’Epargne networks represents a significant step forward.
Although the Group’s main gender equality indicators are following a positive trend, the Group has nevertheless decided to adopt a new set of ambitious commitments. For example, the BPCE 2021-2024 strategic plan has defined quantified targets for increased gender parity with the goal of having 50% of managerial positions, and more than 35% of senior management positions, held by women by 2024.
Key figures for gender diversity within the Group in 2021
At the end of 2021, the proportion of women in managerial positions continued to rise, reaching a total of 45.1%.
