Although they hadn’t met since December 2019, the players of the French women’s handball team gave a more than convincing performance for their return to competitive matches in the first stage of the Golden League.
After a crushing victory against Montenegro (29-13), a defeat after a very close match against Norway (29-28), the French team was out for revenge and finished with a relatively easy win against Denmark (27-23).
The French will be meeting Norway and Denmark at the end of November for a new stage in the Golden League, with Poland as their third opponent. They will then leave for Herning (Denmark) to defend the European title they won two years ago in the Accor Arena in Paris. In the first round, they will be facing Denmark, Montenegro, and Slovenia.
To focus attention on the #generose initiative launched by the Caisse d’Epargne to coincide with the Pink October breast cancer awareness month and in support of the Ruban rose (Pink ribbon) association, the players wore jerseys sporting the Caisse d’Epargne logo symbolically dressed in pink. Mobilized on and off the field, they have also published numerous messages on their social networks using the same motto: “all mobilized, all #generose.”
