For Regards croisés (or “Shared insights”), a mini-series of short films produced by Groupe BPCE, a number of elite athletes supported by Groupe BPCE and a group of musicians and conductors from the Academy of the Paris National Opera enable us to share what their respective disciplines have in common.   

Despite their apparent differences, sport and music require similar skills and character traits – a taste for hard work, perseverance, and the harmony of gesture, for example – that reinforce the idea that regular practice and the pursuit of excellence are universal values.

Episode 1 – Charlotte Fairbank, an armchair tennis player and François Lopez Ferrer, conductor

Mewen Tomac, a swimmer supported by Banque Populaire du Nord, and Stéphanie Childress, a conductor at the Academy of the Paris National Opera supported by Natixis.

For Mewen Tomac and Stéphanie Childress, fluidity of movement and isolation in the practice of their disciplines are features shared in common by the swimmer and the conductor.
