Groupe BPCE Group teams up with the Les Respirations 2016 forum

The aim of this event, which will be held on November 15 at the Cité de la Mode et du Design (“City of Fashion and Design”) in Paris, is to raise awareness among decision-makers and the general public about environmental and health issues related to air quality. Politicians, business leaders, students, academics, writers, doctors, lawyers, NGOs, scientists, etc. will attend round-table sessions to discuss the topic of air quality. Many themes will be addressed as the subject has multiple repercussions: transport, the environment, sustainable cities, energy, buildings, climate, etc.

For Groupe BPCE, which is highly involved in sustainable development, participating in this event is an opportunity to strengthen its support for the preservation of air quality. Through its two major founding cooperative networks, Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne, the Group provides concrete and local solutions to combat air pollution and global warming.

Among its actions:

• The partnership signed with Bolloré: the integration of Blue Car electric cars into their fleets and the use of car-sharing solutions in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux. Integration of the electrical products of the French manufacturers Renault and PSA (Citroën and Peugeot) in the group's catalogue
• The participation of the Caisse d'Epargne Bourgogne Franche-Comté in the financing of the Dijon tramway
• The first NF HQE “exceptional” level certification in France for a regional office building within the Banque Populaire Alsace Lorraine Champagne. This certification includes the quality of air for people’s health.
