A long-term commitment to the employment of people with disabilities

Groupe BPCE has set up a policy to promote the employment of people with disabilities, which is reflected in two agreements for the Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne branches, renewed for the 2017-2019 period.
Today, its overall employment rate ranks it among the leading banks in this respect. Between 2009 and 2016, Groupe BPCE's overall employment rates rose from 2.8% to 4.6%.
In addition, Groupe BPCE participates indirectly in the employment of people with disabilities who cannot work in an ordinary environment by using companies from the Protected and Adapted Work Sector (PAWS) for certain services. In 2016, Groupe BPCE confirmed this commitment by buying services provided by PAWS companies for a total of 16 million euros, an amount multiplied by five since 2009.

Actions in favor of disability visible on Twitter

This year, Groupe BPCE has launched communication and awareness-raising initiatives, particularly among employees, to ensure that the Group's policy in favor of disability is a collective success.

Via the hashtag #Handigital, employees will be able to relay on Twitter the initiatives that will be carried out by the Group's companies during the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities. For each tweet posted with #Handigital, one euro will be donated (up to a maximum of €5,000) to the association Votre Ecole Chez Vous, which works to provide home schooling for sick or disabled children.
