Caisse d’Epargne and Bpifrance: together for innovation

Caisse d’Epargne signed a partnership agreement with Bpifrance on March 28, geared to reinforcing support for innovative French firms throughout the country.

Serving innovative companies

The day also provided the opportunity to officially announce Caisse d'Epargne’s entry into the “Banks for Innovation Club” set up by the public investment bank, Bpifrance, together with the signature of a partnership geared to supporting innovative companies.  “Caisse d'Epargne wants to be present throughout the whole of the financing chain. In this respect, Bpifrance is a pivotal player for enriching our thinking in this area and helping us to successfully implement our pro-innovation and business measures. This partnership with Bpifrance is only the start”, explained Sébastien Berthelier, Head of the Corporate, Social Economy and Protected Persons Markets, within the Caisse d'Epargne Development Department, BPCE.

A vision shared by Anne Guérin, Executive Director Financing at Bpifrance. "This partnership should enable us to deploy additional resources to support innovative businesses and startups, and offers real growth leverage for the French economy".

In practical terms, the partnership will focus on strengthening relations between Néo Business* managers and Bpifrance’s innovation officers in the French regions, and on involving the Caisses d'Epargne regional banks in policy-thinking and events focused on common financing issues faced by innovative companies looking to grow and develop in France and internationally.

*Néo Business is a comprehensive mechanism offered by the Caisses d’Epargne to support innovative startups and businesses. It relies on some 50 innovation delegates spread across all regions where the bank operates.
