Micro-companies and SMEs: an opportunity to take part in the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games

The Group's different companies are mobilizing their efforts among businesses and entities active in the social and solidarity economy to raise their awareness of the opportunities afforded by the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On November 12th earlier this year, 400 micro-entrepreneurs, small- and medium-sized businesses and players active in the regional social & solidarity economy (SSE) attended an event at the Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilizations (MuCEM) in Marseille to learn about the economic opportunities afforded by the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Banque Populaire Méditerranée and Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC were behind this initiative.

Discover, get involved, and win!

The Olympic and Paralympic Games to be held in France in 2024 will provide micro-companies, SMEs and entities active in the SSE sector with a host of regional growth opportunities: construction work, tourism, organization.... So far, 120 public contracts have been published and put out to tender, representing just 1% of the total. Thousands more will be launched offering a host of new opportunities… as long as the candidate companies are ready!  As partners of local businesses and business owners, the regional Banque Populaire banks and Caisses d’Epargne have decided to organize a whole series of presentation meetings in their catchment areas devoted to this very question. The aim is to make companies throughout the country aware of how they can benefit from the organization of the Games in France, to allow them to discover the wealth of opportunities related to public procurement, the procedures for participating in tender offers via the two business platforms entreprises2024 for micro-companies and SMEs ESS2024 for SSE companies and, above all, to learn about the support available (contacts, financing, services, etc.) to ensure they enjoy the same chances as large corporations to gain access to, and to enjoy success on, these markets. After the Caisse d'Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire, it was the turn of Banque Populaire Méditerranée and the Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC to bring together more than 400 local business leaders and entrepreneurs in Marseille.

The next meeting is already scheduled for January 30 in Bordeaux, in the region served by Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique and the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes.

These meetings reflect the determination of Groupe BPCE, a Premium Partner of Paris 2024, to put all the expertise of its different brands at the service of all those involved in the project, in infrastructure financing and, more generally, in the sports economy.

It is clear that the Olympic and Paralympic Games have already begun!
