Renewal of "Responsible Supplier Relations and Procurement" certification

On January 10, 2019, the Company Mediator and the French National Procurement Council (CNA) renewed the certification of four Groupe BPCE companies.

The Company Mediator (an entity working under the aegis of the French Ministry of Economic and Financial Affairs) and the French National Procurement Council (CNA) have renewed for three years the "Responsible Supplier Relations and Procurement" certification awarded to BPCE SA, Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, the Caisse d'Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire, and the Caisse d'Epargne Grand Est Europe, in liaison with BPCE Procurement. Nine Group companies have been certified compliant with this standard to date. BPCE intends to continue this process and to have 14 Group companies certified compliant by 2020.

The aim of this certification is to improve companies’ procurement practices by making economic agents more acutely aware of the importance of high quality relations with their different suppliers and the key role played by responsible procurement practices.

It should be remembered that within the Group, BPCE Achats, a structure dedicated to procurement and coordinating activities in this sector, is sponsoring the “Developing Responsible Procurement” project. CSR forms an integral part of the Group's procurement policy and finds expression in the CAP2020 Procurement strategy designed to achieve 3 goals:

- Helping to develop the local economy,
- Taking account of CSR issues in the development of procurement policies,
- Stimulating innovation among suppliers.

By making CSR an integral part of its TEC2020 strategy, Groupe BPCE is reasserting its determination to be a responsible bancassureur in its operations and business relations, and to embrace its role as the No. 2 provider of funding for the French economy.
