Sailing – The Solitaire du Figaro: Armel Le Cléac’h winner of leg 2
Armel Le Cléac'h arrived in Dunkirk at 4:20 pm this Tuesday afternoon, coming first in the second leg of the Solitaire du Figaro race on Banque Populaire.
Outpacing his rivals virtually from start to finish, this triumph is Armel’s 7th leg victory since he first took part in this single-handed sailing race, arriving at the finish line more than 30 minutes ahead of his competitors. The new leader in the general ranking, the skipper of the Figaro 3 Banque Populaire is ideally placed for the next legs in the race.
Happy and satisfied with the way he managed his race, Armel has fulfilled his first objective: come first in one leg. He still has a second goal to achieve: win the Solitaire overall. The race isn’t over yet...
