Groupe BPCE is back in Tokyo!

For 12 days starting in August 24, the Group – which is partnering the French Paralympic Team for the very first time – will be sharing the thrills and emotions of the athletic performance the 138 Paralympians and their 15 guides/assistants comprising the French delegation. Among these Paralympic athletes, 28 enjoy the individual support of our companies in a wide range of sporting disciplines (Para athletics, Para judo, Para triathlon, Para table tennis, Para shooting, Para rowing, Wheelchair tennis, etc.)

As the No.1 supporter of these para-athletes, Groupe BPCE will naturally be present at this global event. In line with our coverage of the Olympic Games at the beginning of the summer, the latest news about these sportsmen and women will be posted up at regular intervals on a dedicated website page to enable you to keep track of their performances throughout the competition.

Our 100,000 employees will also be able to follow events in Tokyo via the Group's internal commitment platform: Team IMAGINE 2024. The different mini-games, predictions, quizzes, prizes to be won and other activities available on this platform will allow them to enjoy the thrills of the competitions to the very full… not forgetting the latest video streamed live from the Japanese capital by Louis-San, a young, well-known Franco-Japanese YouTuber asked by the Group to accompany the members of the French Paralympic Team in Tokyo.

On August 19, prior to the Games Tokyo, WeThe15 – a global campaign orchestrated by the International Paralympic Committee – was officially launched. The goal: to change, within the next ten years, the daily lives of the 1.2 billion people, or 15% of the world's population, who live with a disability by taking concrete actions to improve their autonomy and quality of life. This campaign is supported by Paris 2024. The Elysée Palace and Paris City Hall are two of the 80 iconic monuments in 30 different countries to take part in a global illumination event on August 19 when the buildings will be bathed in purple light.
