Helping to support employment in Europe
Natixis leads a European Union bond issue worth more than €14 billion as part of the SURE program to help support employment in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Launched in October 2020, the SURE program is intended to help EU member states combat the negative economic and social consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in their territories. A total of €75.5 billion in loans have already been granted to help address the sudden increase in public expenditure.
To finance the program, the European Union has launched a number of bond issues, the latest tranche of which – worth more than €14 billion – was led by Natixis in its capacity as bookrunner. In leading this operation Natixis also confirms its commitment to supporting the development of social bonds dedicated to social objectives.
