Kinomap, une plateforme interactive de simulation de parcours sportifs

Sports economy: Seventure Partners makes a new investment

The “Sport & Performance Capital” fund run by Seventure Partners (a subsidiary of Natixis Investment Managers) has acquired an equity interest in Kinomap, an interactive platform for simulated sports training environments.

This investment fund, launched by Seventure Partners and the Caisses d'Epargne a little over a year ago, has been set up to support the creation and development of SMEs and start-up companies operating in the area of sport & wellness and the promotion of physical activities to keep people fit and healthy. By investing in Kinomap, Groupe BPCE and its companies are continuing their drive to be benchmark players in the sports sector.

Kinomap is the 5th investment made by the Sport & Performance Capital fund over the past 12 months. With 50,000 active users, more than 80% of whom live outside France, the platform offers an aggregate total of more than 300,000 km of rowing spots and cycling and jogging routes, generated using geolocalized videos shared by its users. It allows customers equipped with home trainers or cardio-training equipment to practice their favorite sports activity by watching a selected route scroll across a video display: Col du Galibier, the Alpe d'Huez ascent, Mont Ventoux, etc. for cyclists, but also lakes and seas for kayakers, and various routes for joggers. In 2020, Kinomap managed to significantly boost its turnover despite the health crisis, thereby demonstrating the quality and resilience of its business model.
