Conférence de presse du 23 juin de la Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur

The Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur, a bank supporting the sports economy in its territory

On June 23, the Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur staged a press conference devoted to the sports economy.

The aim of this event was to reassert the bank’s commitment to sport and to promote all the opportunities arising from the organization of events in its territory related to the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

Developing a ‘Sports & Health Economy’ operational branch

The sports economy in the Southern France region, which generates aggregate sales of €3.8 billion, is comparable in size to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and boasts nearly 11,100 companies and sports associations. Driven by its long-standing commitment to the sector – as a partner of major sporting events and clubs, as a supporter of high-level athletes, and as a promoter of in-house sports activities – the Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur is keen to go still further and develop a genuine ‘Sports & Health Economy’ operational branch.

This commitment is reflected in several priority areas: support for clubs and high-level athletes, the development of more sports facilities (construction and financing), the development of sport/health activities, especially among employees, and a contribution to the legacy of the Olympic Games: the Terre de Jeux (“Land of Games”) label has been awarded to two départements and 54 municipalities in the region).

The tone has now been set: the Caisse d'Epargne Côte d'Azur is setting out to become the benchmark bank for the sports economy in its region. Come back soon for a report on its first concrete results!
