Energy transition: the Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC boosts its commitment

The Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC signs a major partnership agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for a total of 350 million euros.

The Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC, a major player in the ongoing energy transition, is stepping up its commitment to the ecological transition. The savings bank recently signed a major partnership agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) for a total of 350 million euros. This funding envelope will be devoted exclusively to the financing of solar- and wind-energy projects.

The Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC had already raised a total of 400 million euros in refinancing from the EIB in the form of lines of credit set up by the European Bank in favor of Groupe BPCE entities. The signature of this new agreement enhances the growth and competitive edge of the renewable energy project financing activities that make the Caisse d'Epargne CEPAC one of the foremost players in the financing of medium-sized solar- and wind-power projects and, consequently, a leading source of funding for the energy transition in general.  It will also enable the bank to continue developing its investments while simultaneously offering its customers loans on better terms.
