Groupe BPCE teams up with the first Fintech 100 ranking
The first ranking of the top 100 French Fintechs and Insurtechs – an initiative co-sponsored by Truffle Capital, Finance Innovation, Sopra Steria Group, Sopra Banking Software, and Groupe BPCE – is now available.
The aim of this ranking is to map the players by business sector, assess the dynamics of start-ups in this ecosystem, identify the challenges facing the industry, and gauge expectations as far as the questions of regulations, financing, and innovation support are concerned. In 2021, Fintechs and Insurtechs attracted €2.5 billion in funding and established themselves collectively as the principal sector in innovation capital.
What are the stakes for the Group?
Innovation is one of the three key principles underlying the goals of BPCE 2024, the Group's new strategic plan. By teaming up with this ranking, Groupe BPCE wants to strengthen its policy of working closely with the most highly innovative players but it also wants to pursue the strategy it adopted in recent years of opening up to Fintech and Insurtech companies specializing, in particular, in the fields of open banking and cybersecurity.
More concretely, Groupe BPCE's ambition is to set up, and to work with, a network of 40 innovative partners by 2024 with a view to satisfying ever more fully the needs and expectations of its different customers.
