Historic double championship status for the épée fencer Romain Cannone!
The epee fencer, sponsored by Groupe BPCE within the framework of its elite athletes support program, won the world championship title yesterday in Cairo.
Romain Cannone confirms his status as reigning world champion! At the age of just 25, he has achieved the historic feat of winning a world championship title after claiming gold in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. This enables him to consolidate his No.1 ranking in his discipline, a position he has held since April earlier this year.
BPCE Financial Services has been supporting this épée fencer for just under a year and is proud to be at Romain's side as he wins this fine gold medal. The company will continue to share with him all the highlights of his sports preparation, notably in the run-up to the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
