“History, Sport & Citizenship”: success for the exhibition launched by CASDEN Banque Populaire

More than 1,000 presentations of the educational program launched by CASDEN Banque Populaire and designed by the ACHAC research group in anticipation of the forthcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024 were staged in 2021. A real success!

Within the framework of its partnership with the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024, CASDEN Banque Populaire has been making the “History, Sport & Citizenship” program available for over a year. The aim of this initiative is to pay tribute to the champions who have left their mark on the Olympic Games from 1896 to the present day while simultaneously illustrating the civic values they embody. These are the values shared by CASDEN, a cooperative bank serving the French civil service. The aim is also to include this program in the ‘Legacy’ component of Paris 2024, an initiative designed not only to ensure the impact of the Olympics transcends the Games themselves but also to give sport greater prominence in people's lives and to reinforce the place and social impact of sport in society at large.

Middle schools, high schools, municipalities, prefectures, county councils, and even universities... with, today, the headquarters of the Olympic & Paralympic Committee of Paris 2024 have all been venues for the more than 1,000 presentations of this multi-format program (exhibitions, educational booklets, website, etc.) organized throughout France in 2021.
And the presentations will be continuing in 2022. Between now and 2024, it’s possible that the program will have been hosted in nearly 4,000 different locations.

Deeply committed to the promotion of sport and its values, CASDEN Banque Populaire is also supporting three civil servants and high-level athletes in their sporting and professional projects – Manon Brunet (fencing), Manon Genest (para-athletics) and Cyrielle Duhamel (swimming).
