The Caisse d'Epargne Hauts de France, 2nd French bank to receive B Corp certification

The bank joins the select group of companies to have obtained this prestigious certification.

After the Caisse d'Epargne Normandie, the Caisse d'Epargne Hauts de France recently joined the club of 170 French companies (4,000 worldwide) that have already obtained the prestigious B Corp label, thereby gaining official recognition for its social and environmental performance and its transparent and ethical business practices. To obtain this certification, the Caisse d'Epargne Hauts de France underwent a number of independent audits assessing its impact in five areas: governance, employees, social & solidarity-based actions, environment, and customers. 
 
Outstanding mark of recognition 
In its capacity as a local bank, the Caisse d'Epargne Hauts de France has long been involved in a large number of actions in favor of its territory and local residents. It acts in accordance with a deeply seated conviction that, in the long term, a company’s economic performance is inseparable from its performance in social and environmental matters. Obtaining this B Corp certification gives official recognition to the bank’s positive impact on society and the environment. What is a B Corp? 
The B Corp (Benefit Corporation) certification process appraises the social and environmental impact of business organization with a view to giving them a score and identifying areas for improvement in order to ensure the sustainability of this approach. This international certification is fully compliant with the highest standards of social, societal, and environmental performance.
