Announcement of the route of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay

On June 23, Paris 2024 revealed the official route of the Olympic Torch Relay, a tradition supported by Banque Populaire and Caisse d'Epargne in their capacity as Official Sponsors.

With its 65 stopover towns and cities throughout France, the Olympic Torch Relay will celebrate the values embodied by sport and defended by the Olympic movement, giving prominence to the wealth, diversity, and dynamism of our regions, focusing attention on local know-how, and highlighting the numerous iconic sites in the French provinces.

In their capacity as official sponsors of the operation, the Banques Populaires and Caisses d'Epargne will be present at every stage of this world-famed relay, both on land and at sea.

After being lit in Greece at the ancient site of Olympia, the Olympic Flame will cross the Mediterranean aboard the Belem, the famed 19th-century three-masted ship sponsored by the Caisse d'Epargne, and arrive in Marseille on May 8, 2024.

Le Maxi Banque Populaire XI will also contribute to the celebration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay by playing an active role in this historic event starting on June 7, when it sets sail from Brest with skipper Armel Le Cléac'h at the helm. It is on this masterpiece of high technology and innovation that the Olympic Flame will first reach Guadeloupe and then Martinique with an illustrious crew whose membership will be revealed before the end of the year.

From May 8 to July 26, 2024, this collective adventure running through the heart of metropolitan France and its overseas territories will give us an historic opportunity to share the excitement of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 with our customers, our cooperative shareholders, our employees, and all French people.
