Banque Populaire at France’s key agricultural event of the year

Banque Populaire will be present at the International Agricultural Show organized in Paris from February 25 to March 5: an opportunity for the bank to emphasize its commitment to farmers.

With more than 500,000 visitors expected for this year’s exhibition, the agricultural show remains more than ever the quintessential annual venue for the world of French farming, an industry facing an array of major economic, environmental, and technological challenges.

Banque Populaire has been active in the farming market for more than 30 years and has now become the 3rd largest banking partner in this sector. Every day, it supports more than 110,000 agricultural businesses. The bank maintains a close and trusting relationship with its farming customers thanks to its deep understanding of their activities and the support provided by its network of advisors dedicated to the world of farming throughout all of France. A veritable partner of the farming community, Banque Populaire is present in a host of national and regional agricultural bodies and, thanks to the National Agricultural Dynamism Prize, provides official recognition every year to the most efficient and innovative farms throughout the country.

Banque Populaire regularly updates its range of products and solutions to enable its farming customers to adapt to future challenges. In the next few days, for example, the AGRILISMAT financing simulation tool will be expanded with AGRILISMAT CAPDURABLE, a solution that selects a list of equipment eligible for preferential financing conditions in order to help the agricultural world complete the transition towards a more sustainable business model, preserving resources and the environment and supporting healthy food production.

For this new edition of the agricultural show, the studio of the TV AGRI channel will be receiving every day the personal testimonies of representatives from several Groupe BPCE entities: the Fédération Nationale des Banques Populaires, Mirova, Banque de la Transition Energétique, and Otoktone environnement, the green energy financing expert division of Banque Populaire Grand Ouest. This contribution demonstrates the Group’s status as a key player in the world of farming, taking full advantage of its synergies in order to provide support: Banque Populaire for financing, Banque de la Transition Energétique and Otoktone environnement for financing energy production, and Mirova for supporting agricultural start-ups, providing financing for carbon projects, etc.

Banque Populaire is the only banking partner of a series events organized throughout the week, including the national final of the Ovinpiades, a competition designed to elect the best young shepherd in 2023, and the table d'hôte of the Agriculteurs ont du cœur (“Farmers have a heart”) association and food banks on the theme of “Food for All.”
