Discover the Torch of the Olympic Games Paris 2024!

The Torch, an emblem of the Olympic Games, gives tangible expression to the identity of each edition of this sporting event by virtue of its shape, color, and inspiration. A work of art in its own right, the torch has been designed to embody the essence of Paris 2024. To create this symbol, the Organizing Committee decided to work with the French designer, Mathieu Lehanneur.  
The Torch of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 is distinguished first of all by its homogeneous, luminous color. To ensure it reflects the aspirations of the forthcoming Games, Mathieu Lehanneur drew inspiration from three key attributes of Paris 2024: equality, water, and harmony. 

Equality

Equality has been a fundamental value of the Paris 2024 project from the moment France first bid to host these Games. After the emblem and the mascots, the Olympic & Paralympic Games will share a Torch with the same design. The notion of Equality in the Paris 2024 project is also a major focus of these gender-equal Games. In line with this ambition, the design of the Torch for the Paris 2024 Games is founded on perfect symmetry along both horizontal and vertical axes in order to symbolize this equality.  

Water 

Water, which will play a special role in the Paris 2024 Games, was the inspiration for the undulating, embossed, and vibrating effects in the Torch design, creating an impression of choppy, swelling waves and the sparkle of light dancing on water.  

Harmony

The Olympic and Paralympic Games have always stood as a symbol of peace. In keeping with this desire for harmony, the curves and rounded lines of the Torch leave it imbued with a sense of gentleness. Pure, almost quintessential, in form, the design chosen for the Torch for the Olympic Games Paris 2024 conveys a powerful message of generosity and fraternity.  

Rendezvous starting on May 8, 2024 for the start of the Olympic Torch Relay!
