Groupe BPCE named Best Issuer by the European Covered Bonds Council
Global Capital magazine presented two awards to Groupe BPCE at the European Covered Bonds Council (ECBC)* conference: “Best Euro Issuer” and “Issuer of the year”
The entire community of covered bond market specialists gathered in Munich on September 13 and 14 for this annual conference. Global Capital magazine had shortlisted 5 nominees for each award category, and voting was then open to all market participants for one month: 360 market players cast votes, including 90 issuers and 100 investors.
Groupe BPCE was singled out in the “Best Euro Issuer” category ahead of the other nominees ING, Santander, Toronto Dominion, and Unicredit. In the “Best Issuer of the Year” category, Groupe BPCE won ahead of Banque de Montreal, Crédit Agricole, Santander, and Toronto Dominion.
Both awards pay tribute to BPCE's widely recognized market expertise in Covered Bond issues in what has been another extraordinary year, marked by record issuance volumes from an ever-increasing number of borrowers.

The Council currently has over 121 members and represents more than 95% of covered bond issuers in the EU.
