Sustainable financing in the airport sector
Several Groupe BPCE banks are participating in the financing of Toulouse Blagnac Airport's first sustainability loan, in line with its commitment to CSR.
Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking, Caisse d'Epargne Midi-Pyrénées, and Banque Populaire Occitane are involved, along with three other banks, in this double-tranche financing for a total of 145 million euros, with a margin indexed to ESG criteria. Natixis CIB also acted as ESG coordinator.
The airport has selected three indicators related to the reduction of its greenhouse gas emissions, the improvement of its low-carbon certification under the Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) standard, and the steady reduction in the frequency of work-related accidents. With slightly more than 7 million passengers welcomed in 2022, Toulouse-Blagnac is the No.1 airport hub in south-west France.
