Manon BRUNET, European champion

The athletes supported by Groupe BPCE companies perform well at the European Games

A review of the excellent performances of our athletes in Krakow over the last two weeks.

On the fencing strips, Manon Brunet, supported by CASDEN, Sara Balzer, supported by the Caisse d'Epargne Grand Est Europe, Cécilia Berder, supported by the Caisse d’Epargne Loire-Centre won gold in the European women’s team sabre event! Coraline Vitalis, supported by BRED, also won gold in the European women’s team épée fencing competition.  

In swimming, Laura and Charlotte Tremble, two sisters supported by the Caisse d'Epargne Hauts de France, won the title of European gold-medalists in the team acrobatic routine and the bronze medal in the team acrobatic event.  

In the women’s long jump, Hilary Kpatcha, supported by Banque Populaire Occitane, won a gold medal. 

Thom Gicquel, supported by Banque Populaire Grand Ouest, won a silver medal in mixed doubles badminton. A silver medal was also claimed by Lisa Barbelin, supported by the Caisse d'Epargne Auvergne Limousin, for her excellent performance in archery. 

Finally, a fine bronze medal went to Boris Neveu, supported by Banque Populaire Occitane, who came 3rd in the canoe slalom men's kayak team.
