Today, June 23, is Olympic Day and a group of about thirty athletes from the 103 supported by Groupe BPCE form a human chain to encourage the French to get moving…
In a lighthearted video backed by a lively tune, some of the 103 French athletes supported by Groupe BPCE companies (Banques Populaires, Caisses d’Epargne, Natixis, Banque Palatine, etc.) form a chain by passing one another a ball (and even a boat!) to celebrate Olympic Day and invite the French to get moving, to go out and practice their favorite sport, or discover new disciplines.
For its part, the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) invites all interested people to travel a distance of 2,024m on June 23 (by walking or jogging, on a scooter, etc.), to take a photo of themselves, and post it up on the social networks.
To find out more about the Group’s support system for athletes
Supporting and accompanying high-level confirmed or aspiring French athletes forms an integral part of the Group’s activities as a Premium Partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. In line with this commitment, it has set up a major program to support athletes both in their training process as well as in their professional projects, notably by working with the Fondation pour le Pacte de performance (“Foundation for the Performance Pact”).
So far, 103 athletes and para-athletes have benefited from this system through a series of sponsorship, training and retraining initiatives.
