Discover the new athlete supported by Groupe BPCE under the aegis of its sponsorship scheme for high-level athletes and para-athletes.
At the age of only 24, Romain Cannone was crowned Olympic epee champion in Tokyo 2021 and is currently the world’s No.1-ranked competitor in this discipline. Supported by BPCE Services financiers, he joins the para-athlete Charles-Antoine Kouakou, who is also sponsored by the company.
Sponsoring and supporting confirmed or aspiring high-level French athletes is one of Groupe BPCE’s key ambitions. In its capacity as a Premium Partner of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024, the Group has decided to support the French Sports Foundation and the Performance Pact, a scheme backed by the French Ministry of Sports, by sponsoring 174 athletes and para-athletes with a view to fostering the emergence of a new generation of athletes and para-athletes for 2024.
Groupe BPCE is proud to be supporting these athletes – not only financially but also through professional training and reconversion programs – and to share in the major milestones of their preparation for their forthcoming sporting events, with a more particular focus on the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
