On September 15th, Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes set up a bank entirely devoted to green waste collection and to the financing of projects committed to the energy transition of its region.
The aim of the Banque de la transition énergétique (Energy Transition Bank) created by Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes is to meet the energy, ecological, and environmental challenges of its region. It offers its local residents the possibility of subscribing to savings products that combine traceability and security, and guarantees that funds will be allocated to identifiable energy transition projects.
It also offers individuals, entrepreneurs or public institutions financing solutions tailored to all the environmentally-friendly initiatives launched in the region.
The creation of the Energy Transition Bank illustrates Groupe BPCE’s commitment to the emergence of a low-carbon society by supporting all economic players in terms of both financing and refinancing as well as investment and savings
