The Caisse d’Epargne keeps its promise to be useful to local and regional France

With a view to boosting the practice of sporting activities, everywhere and for everyone, the brand is strongly committed to developing sports facilities in the regions.

Two related ambitions – namely, to make the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024 a useful event for all, and to play an active role in preserving the legacy of these games for all the regions of France and for all its population – were the inspiration behind the Caisse d’Epargne’s decision to launch Pacte Utile (Useful Pact), an engagement program designed to be useful to the needs of athletes, to the regions, and to society at large. 

Sport: a lever for revitalizing the regions

Faithful to its promise of “being useful to the regions,” the brand recently launched a vast infrastructure plan to encourage the practice of sporting activities throughout France and for all French people through the restoration or construction, between now and 2024, of more than 50 sports grounds and other facilities – notably 3×3 basketball courts – in the very heart of the regions in collaboration with the French Basketball and Handball Federations. 

A superb location in the very heart of the capital

The first tangible result of this initiative can be seen in the renovation (in association with the French Basketball Federation [FFBB] and the City of Paris) of a 3×3 basketball court in the 13th arrondissement of Paris (61 boulevard Vincent-Auriol) in the very heart of the capital. After three months of restoration work – with Atlas, a major figure in the world of urban art, giving a final touch to the renovation – this new facility and social space, which is now ready to welcome young people, the employees of companies nearby, and basketball lovers in general, was inaugurated in the presence of a large number of major figures in the world of sport, including Jean-Philippe GATIEN, Director of Sports at Paris 2024, who attended the inauguration ceremony.
