The French athlete, supported by Banque Populaire Bourgogne Franche-Comté, will be the flag bearer of the French Paralympic Team on August 24.
In 5 days’ time, the eyes of the world will once again be turned toward Tokyo to admire the performances of the 4,400 para-athletes competing in this finest of sporting events. In its capacity as partners of the French Paralympic Team, Groupe BPCE’s companies will share the thrill of this competition starting with the opening ceremony on August 24.
Leading the values of the Paralympic movement
And for good reason, considering that Sandrine Martinet, who has been supported for the past two years by Banque Populaire Bourgogne Franche-Comté via the Performance Pact Foundation, will be leading the entire French Paralympic Team for the opening ceremony. Elected flag bearer on July 8 (see article and video), the judoka will do her very best to fulfill this mission and display the values of the Paralympic movement at the highest level.
A double silver medalist in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, then gold medalist in Rio 2016, Sandrine is competing in Tokyo with the firm intention of retaining her title and of adding yet another triumph to her formidable record.
Only a few days left to wait
Banque Populaire Bourgogne Franche-Comté – and, along with it, the entire Groupe BPCE – is proud to be supporting Sandrine as she takes part in this global event for the 5th time but it is also proud to be helping her realize her professional ambitions by financing her training as a sports physiotherapist.
If you’d like to learn more about Sandrine, her childhood, her achievements and her ambitions in Tokyo, you can discover the ‘unbreakable’ portrait of this sportswoman, broadcast on France 3, available immediately.
See you on August 24 to follow Sandrine’s performances.
