Sunday, November 8, 2:20 pm: a shot echoed over Les Sables d’Olonne. This time, they’re really off! The starting pistol has finally sounded and the race is on after being postponed four times owing to fog. A total of 33 skippers had been lining up on the starting line eager to take part in this legendary race.

One of them was Clarisse Crémer, a 30-year-old woman who set sail on her first round-the-world race on a day brimming with emotion.
On land, a large team had been brought together to support her in this venture. First and foremost among its members is Armel le Cléac’h, winner of the 2016-2017 Vendée Globe, and the entire Banque Populaire Team, all of them sharing a single ambition: to help ensure Clarisse’s success.

With a few small worries, a lot of emotion and immense enthusiasm, she shared her first message as she carried out her initial maneuvers (see video below).

Throughout the race, our skipper will share her adventure on Passion Voile Banque Populaire.
