Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes (BPAURA) brings to its clientele of private individuals, craftsmen, small retailers, farmers, self-employed professionals, and business organizations the full support of its expertise in both banking and insurance.

Active in the fields of new business creation and transmission, the bank boasts a comprehensive range of specialized services and highly sophisticated offerings that enable it to provide a service combining expertise with a strong local presence. A bank capable of innovating to help its customers realize their most ambitious dreams, it never loses sight of what is most important: the quality of the project initiator/advisor relationship. BPAURA actively contributes to the development of the regional economy and, in full-year 2020, distributed loans worth more than 9.2 billion euros (loans to individuals and companies), including more than 20,000 State-Guaranteed Loans for an aggregate total of 2.5 billion euros; it also manages an outstanding loan portfolio of 32.1 billion euros.

As a socially responsible bank attuned to the major issues of our times, BPAURA set up Banque de la Transition Énergétique (Energy Transition Bank) in September 2020. Entirely devoted to collecting green savings and to financing initiatives promoting the energy & environmental transition at a regional level, the originality of this entity is based on four major commitments: traceability of savings, territorial scope of action, short distribution channels, and the adoption of a partnership approach.

Sport & Patronage

BPAURA, known as “the bank of mountains and skiing", is a staunch partner of the world of snow and skiing. This trusting relationship has grown with its support for long-standing local partners such as the 6 ski committees, the National Union of French Ski Instructors, the 69 French ski schools and the 80 ski racing clubs, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes ski league, the Grenoble university alpine skiing team, and the sports clubs organizing major skiing events.

In 2020, BPAURA created its Corporate Foundation to encourage and support general-interest initiatives in its catchment area in fields related to education, health, social integration, and culture. This Foundation provides concrete proof of its social commitment to the local community, and lends strength to the pursuit of its cooperative and solidarity values.
