Activities

For more than 120 years, Banque Populaire Auvergne Rhône Alpes (BPAURA) has been providing its clientele of private individuals, artisans, small retailers, farmers, self-employed professionals, and business organizations with the support of its expertise in banking and insurance. This regional cooperative bank, whose capital is owned by its 335,000 cooperative shareholders, is part of Groupe BPCE, the 2nd largest banking group in France. Its corporate purpose, which is “to build a sustainable and responsible future alongside the women and men who live and work in the region,” informs its choices for the future, and defines what motivates its teams in their day-to-day work.

With its 3,200 employees, it now serves nearly 1 million customers throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, and in the Hautes-Alpes, Alpes de Haute-Provence, and Corrèze départements. It provides a regional coverage through a network of 327 branches: 283 physical retail branches, 9 branches dedicated to farming and winegrowing, 21 business branches, 1 branch devoted to large corporations, 1 branch specializing in institutions, 9 private banking branches, and 1 e-branch.

Active in the fields of new business creation and transmission, it boasts a comprehensive range of specialized business lines and highly sophisticated offerings enabling it to provide a service that combines expertise with a strong local presence. A bank capable of innovation when it accompanies its customers in the realization of their most ambitious dreams, it never loses sight of what is most important: the quality of the personal relationship developed between a project initiator and his or her advisor.

Sport & Patronage

The BPAURA Corporate Foundation, set up in 2020, supports the bank's corporate purpose and plays its role to the full in promoting the cooperative and social solidarity values defended by the bank. Since its creation, the Foundation has provided almost €2 million in financial support and assistance to more than 170 projects and initiatives pursued by general interest associations active in its catchment area in four main areas: culture, education, health, and social integration.

A bank committed to the mountain economy: almost 1 out of every 2 professionals in the Alps maintain a relationship with BPAURA, which has set up a local organization dedicated to this sector. In 2022, working alongside other players in the mountain and ski economy, more than 5,000 young skiers were supported through partner clubs in the region.
