Banque Populaire du Sud – a regional cooperative banking institution working with its three brands: Banque Dupuy, de Parseval; Banque Marze; and Crédit Maritime Méditerranée – is active in nine French departments chiefly in the southern Occitanie region on the Mediterranean coast. It boasts a total of 580,000 customers and 225,000 cooperative shareholders with a staff of 2,200 employees working in more than 250 branches, dedicated business centers and branches specializing in different types of clientele: students/teachers, civil servants, self-employed professionals, farmers, high-net-worth individuals, elite athletes, as well as support teams based at our regional sites in Perpignan, Montpellier and Nîmes.

A major player in the multiple transitions in its catchment area, Banque Populaire du Sud launched in 2023 its dedicated Bank for the Energy Transition (Banque de la Transition Energétique par la Banque Populaire du Sud). This tool makes it possible to support local economic actors in their energy transition projects, their adaptation to climate change, and their sustainable and responsible water management projects. On the subject of water, the Banque Populaire du Sud is 100% mobilized. In 2025, it places water as its major societal cause for the years to come. It dedicates a funding envelope of 20 million euros to support local authorities in their water management projects and it supports several local associations through its Corporate Foundation, contributing through concrete actions to the preservation of water resources and the environment.

Sport & Patronage

Within the framework of the Premium Partnership with Paris 2024, Banque Populaire du Sud has strengthened its commitment to sport. In particular, it was able to support several athletes from its “Je Rêve de Paris 2024” team. A symbol of inclusion and diversity, the Banque Populaire du Sud Team brought together athletes from its catchment area, women and men in able-bodied and disabled categories, comprised of established medal-winning talents and young hopefuls. Banque Populaire du Sud now aims to create its own legacy program focused on water, considering that Banque Populaire du Sud is recognized as the ‘Bank of Sailing.’

The bank also supports local clubs through its involvement in a variety of sports such as sailing, rugby, handball, beach volleyball, golf, etc. In terms of events, it participates in sporting competitions staged throughout its territory. In addition to providing support, Banque Populaire du Sud employees are prepared to accept all types of challenges. More than ever, Banque Populaire du Sud shares with them the same DNA of high performance, the desire to surpass oneself and achieve success as a team, and to share the values defended by sport.
