Activities

The Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes is a regional cooperative bank owned by its 300,971 cooperative shareholder customers, with whom it shares the same values of social solidarity, responsibility, and a strong local presence. Covering the nine départements of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes boasts a regional network comprised of 3 administrative sites, 11 business centers, a professional real estate appraisals center, a merchant bank, the ‘La Banque de l'Orme’ restructuring investment bank, 3 specialized business centers devoted to professionals, a business center devoted to viticulture, along with 345 retail branches and three dedicated private banking spaces.

Its 2,449 employees serve the needs of 1.3 million individual, professional, and corporate customers in addition to the market for regional decision-makers. In accordance with its status as a socially committed bank, the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes has adopted an ambitious CSR approach based on firm convictions and relevant actions in the following areas: customer relations, human resources, environmental protection, corporate governance, and regional economic & social life.

Philanthropic commitment

The Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes Endowment Fund, a partner of the social solidarity movement, has set itself the task of supporting innovative projects carried out by local associations working to promote environmental protection and/or the social inclusion of young people. Launched over a multi-year cycle, these themes – voted on by the Board of Directors – are selected for their relevance and their social impact on the catchment area served by the regional Caisse d'Epargne.
In 2021, the Endowment Fund supported 48 associations with a funding envelope of 450,000 euros. The high commitment rate of the overall budget (98%) reflects the degree of adoption of these issues by the philanthropy correspondents in the Local Savings Companies and the ability of the bank’s teams to proactively detect innovative projects in the field. This focus on co-construction and dialogue is also extended to entities active in the social & solidarity-based economy.

Sport & Patronage

The Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes helps to promote the prestige and reputation of its different territories by becoming deeply involved in the region's cultural and sporting life for the benefit of all types of public. True to its values of social utility, the regional bank has forged long-standing partnerships with the region’s major emblematic cultural events attended by residents of the New Aquitaine region. With regard to sport, the Caisse d'Epargne is a Premium Partner of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024. It is also a partner of the French Handball and Basketball Federations. Events organized in the Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes region in preparation for national and international competitions provide opportunities to support local athletes in these disciplines.
