In accordance with its status as a socially committed bank, Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes has adopted an ambitious CSR approach based on firm convictions and relevant actions in the following areas: customer relations, human resources, environmental protection, corporate governance, and regional economic & social life.
In line with its long-standing commitment to philanthropic actions, the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes is today one of the leading sponsors in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region: in 2020, it granted more than 1.3 million euros to sponsorship activities. Thanks to the Caisse d'Epargne Aquitaine Poitou-Charentes Endowment Fund, support has been given to 77 local projects chiefly in areas related to the fight against social isolation and/or environmental protection.
In 2020, this Endowment Fund boasted an envelope of 550,000 euros thanks to an exceptional contribution of 100,000 euros allocated in light of the health crisis. 77 projects received financing. It proved possible to launch two more ambitious projects (fight against the exclusion of people during the second Covid lockdown period) thanks to this exceptional budget. The high commitment rate of the overall budget (98%) reflects the degree of adoption of these issues by the bank’s philanthropy correspondents and the ability of its teams to proactively detect innovative projects in the field, while simultaneously building on a co-construction effort and dialogue with entities active in the social & solidarity-based economy.
