In order to support the transitions of all our clients in accordance with the best available standards, we have launched an internal transformation plan entitled “Impact Inside.” We are also developing a responsible purchasing policy and reducing our own environmental footprint.
Groupe BPCE is adopting a new impact approach, allowing it to pursue its banking, insurance, and investment activities for the benefit of all its clients, bringing economic, societal, and environmental performance to the heart of local and regional France and in the parts of the world where the Group does business. In order to expand its impact solutions to all its clients and speed up its progress in all the different aspects of ESG, Groupe BPCE has launched the transformation of all its companies at every level.
This “Vision 2030 focused on Impact” has been co-constructed with all Groupe BPCE companies and all its business lines. It is being given material form with the Impact 2026 Program, a course of action consisting of concrete commitments in terms of offerings, financing policies, reduction of our own footprint, consideration of ESG issues in our risk management and financial processes but also within the framework of our renewed responsible employer policy. The Impact program allows each business line to fully integrate ESG issues.
Finally, all the Groupe BPCE business lines, and each of its companies, are adopting an Impact approach in line with their business models and within the scope of their activities in order to move Groupe BPCE towards a more sustainable business model capable of guaranteeing its cooperative, financial, and non-financial performance. Our Group is consequently setting up a dedicated management system with a view of increasing the positive social and environmental impact of its economic footprint.
Based on contributions from scientific research, and in a spirit of continuous improvement, Groupe BPCE is setting up an impact campus with a view to structuring the training of all its employees with a tailor-made program comprised of a common core based on general knowledge for everyone along with specific operational modules designed for each business line.
Together with the National Federations of the Banques Populaires and Caisses d’Epargne, we are helping to raise the awareness of our senior management staff and their training related to these issues.
Goal: 100 % of our employees and senior management trained on ESG issues by 2026.
In order to speed up the reduction of our own environmental footprint, we are pursuing four priority actions:
The responsible purchasing approach forms part of an overall and sustainable performance objective involving Groupe BPCE companies and their suppliers. It is based on commitments made when the “Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing” charter was signed. Fourteen companies currently hold the Supplier Relations and Responsible Purchasing label, awarded by the Company Mediation service (answering to the French Ministry of the Economy) and the National Purchasing Council (Conseil national des achats, CNA).
Through our PHARE approach (responsible purchasing in terms of geographic proximity, professional integration, etc.), we help to promote, in particular, the professional and social integration of individuals with disabilities by subcontracting certain activities to the Sheltered & Adapted Work Sector (STPA).
