Activities

The Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France, a regional cooperative banking institution, has been serving its communities for more than 200 years, providing finance in all areas of its territory’s economy and for all local and regional players: local authorities, social housing bodies, businesses, institutions, individuals, and professionals.

The Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France serves its entire region via a network of 415 branches, 25 business centers, 5 Private Banking centers, and 3 centers dedicated to professional customers and entrepreneurs. This territorial coverage enables it to offer its 2.5 million customers, including 700,000 cooperative shareholders, an optimum balance between human contact and digital resources.

Despite the unsettled public health situation created by Covid-19, 2021 was marked by a return to growth in France after a sharp downturn in 2020. This enabled Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France to maintain a very good commercial dynamic and post extremely positive results as reflected, in particular, in loans for an aggregate total of €15.2 billion granted in support of families, students, professionals, businesses, and entities active in the local economy.

As a bank focused on social utility, the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France has made corporate social responsibility an integral part of its new Strategic Plan in terms of its commercial offerings and sales practices, its philanthropic commitment, and actions taken to reduce its ecological footprint.

The Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France also pursues its activities outside its home territory by supporting the development of three subsidiaries: Banque BCP, Banque de Tahiti, and Banque de Nouvelle Calédonie.

Responsible bank committed to working alongside social entities

The Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France remains steadfast and active in its support for front-ranking social players, notably through donations to the Abbé Pierre Foundation, Emmaüs, Médecins du Monde, the Salvation Army, the Red Cross, etc.

The issues of accessibility to culture and the fight against exclusion are also central to the actions supported by the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France. Regarding culture, the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France has confirmed its commitment to projects focused on young people.  For example, the Comédie-Française state theater and the Grand Palais exhibition hall & museum complex have been able to count on the loyal support of the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France. To combat exclusion, the savings bank continues to support the associations SAIS 92 and Ecole à l’Hôpital (‘School in the Hospital’), which work to provide schooling for children who are disabled or infirm, and to support other major stakeholders in this area, such as the associations focused on autism (Un Pas pour la Vie) or the fight against cancer (Vaincre le Cancer and Odyssea).

In total, the Caisse d’Epargne Ile-de-France devotes more than 1.5 million euros to sponsoring general interest initiatives.
