Groupe BPCE in Olympic Day mode
Groupe BPCE, a Premium Partner of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, is fully involved in Olympic Day 2022.
Our Group and our different companies, all committed to the community of entities active in the sports economy, will be celebrating sport and its values throughout all of France. This initiative provides a fine opportunity for everyone to get into ‘Olympic Day’ mode!
CASDEN and Banque Populaire will be organizing a collective sports challenge starting on June 23 (which is also ‘Public Service Day’) and running until July 7. The aim of the challenge is to walk, accumulate steps and, above all, contribute to a donation to the French Hospitals Foundation. Cooperative shareholders, current and prospective customers and employees are all invited to join in!
The Caisse d'Epargne Normandie will also be celebrating the anniversary of the modern Olympic movement, continuing the work it’s been doing since 2015 in this region, a part of France notably rich in historical, cultural, and sporting heritage thanks, in particular, to the work of Pierre de Coubertin. 22 school classes and nearly 550 children will benefit from sports activities (official ceremony, relay race, torch run) as well as artistic and cultural activities in the presence of Margaux Bailleul (rowing), patron of the operation and an athlete supported by the Performance Pact.
The ‘GFS Sport Days’ will also allow Global Financial Services employees to do justice to their sporting prowess on this Olympic Day! Their program of events includes muscle-toning activities, meetings with athletes, walking, and even ‘digital’ sports sessions available in French and English.
In the same spirit, several events will also be arranged for employees of the BPCE Community, who will be able to take part in a walk, sign up for remote workshops and other webinars dedicated to health and well-being organized within the framework of the ‘Quality of Life at Work’ Week.
Finally, the Group's commitment to sport and the Olympic values will now be promoted inside the buildings of our different companies with a brand new ‘Sports Village’ space inaugurated on June 14 at the Liberté 2 site in Charenton-Le-Pont in the presence of Charlotte Fairbank (wheelchair tennis), an athlete supported under the aegis of the Performance Pact. The aim of this initiative is to promote among our employees the role played by Groupe BPCE in sport and its status as a Premium Partner of the Olympic & Paralympic Games Paris 2024.
An Olympic day with the energy of Seine-Saint-Denis
Paris 2024 will also be celebrating the Olympic Day. With two years to go before the opening of the Olympic Games Paris 2024, the area around the Stade de France will be transformed into an open-air playground on June 26 to enable the public to discover new sporting activities, practice sport, admire the players, meet other people, and enjoy the thrill of sport at the foot of the future Paris 2024 Olympic Stadium.
